The 2014 Cinema Touch Awards - SUPPORTING ACTOR

by
Julien Faddoul

5. Love is Strange – Charlie Tahan
For the year's most underrated turn. There is not a false note in any subtle regret he makes.

4. Boyhood – Ethan Hawke
For his determination and intelligence above the call of duty. He is often not given enough credit for that.

3. Starred Up – Rupert Friend
For feeling so rivetingly incomplete in a way that I didn't think he was capable of. I look forward to what he does next.

2. Listen Up Philip – Jonathan Pryce
For a brilliant depiction of intellectual pretension and lack of fulfillment. It stands alongside the best performances of his long and varied career.

1. Starred Up – Ben Mendelsohn
For his tremendous gravitas on screen, and for somehow convincing us to empathize with Neville.

Runner Up: Birdman (or The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance)Edward Norton
